A lot of people have been asking me recently how I manage to get so many sponsored posts, especially on Instagram, so I'm going to share my secrets.
1. Follow and interact with the brand that you want to collaborate with on various social media platforms. Make sure that you know the brand well and are familiar with their products or services.
2. When you are ready to contact them, find their email on their website. You may want to phone them, but I prefer not to. I often find that brands are more likely to respond if you email them directly, rather than using a contact form. Also, make sure you know who you are contacting! If you know the name of the PR firm or the blogger outreach individual then include their name to make it more personal.
3. If you don't hear from them, it's best to just leave it. Brands won't really like it if you pester them.
4. If they respond positively that's great! Then you should start negotiating with the brand. I find that it is best to charge for your services as a blogger or influencer. It is totally up to you, but you should consider the time it will take to produce the post, and the audience that it will reach. I've had brands approach me for promotions in exchange for exposure, meaning that they would repost the posts that I create as a form of payment! Offers like these are not worthwhile for me, as my posts reach a large audience. You can use websites such as sponsoredpostcalculator.com as a starting point for costs.
5. Once an agreement has been made, clarify the details of the promotion. For example, UK bloggers should make sure that the advertiser is aware that posts must be declared as adverts in accordance with ASA rules.
6. Once the post is created, you should send links to the brand to confirm that everything is ok. If they are happy with your posts, it is likely that they will want to work with you again!
It's worth noting that some bloggers use other methods to monetise their blogs, such as offering advertisement packages, using influencer apps, or using affiliate links.
I have seen a lot of negative comments about bloggers who post adverts, as they are "selling their integrity". But if you have the opportunity to make sponsored posts, you might as well go for it!
One final tip - make sure that the brands that you work with are related to what you post about. If you're a beauty blogger, it's unlikely that your followers will want to see posts about anything that is completely unrelated to beauty!
So I hope that this helps you to get sponsored posts, and feel free to ask me any questions. You can do this via the comments or using the contact form in my sidebar.

DeleteI have been trying to a sponsored post or a collaboration for a while now, contacted brands but now that I read your post I am not sure that I contacted the right person. However, no answer or if they do is not a positive one.

Hi, it really depends on what types of brands you want to work with. If you reach out to brands and you get a lot of rejections, I'd advise to wait a while until contacting other brands. Hope this helped!
